Welcome to the TIF Security Subcommittee Web site.

 

  • Charge and Mission

    The Security Subcommittee was formed as a result of a recommendation from the TIF membership. The recommendation was approved by Dr. Bruno, Vice Provost for Information and Educational Technology, in April 2002. The TIF Security Subcommittee held its kick-off meeting on June 5, 2002.

    The subcommittee assists Information and Educational Technology (IET) in improving computing system and network security on campus. More specifically, the subcommittee's responsibilities include:

    • Identifying, analyzing, developing, and/or assisting with the implementation of the various elements of the UC Davis security infrastructure
    • Sharing campus units' perspectives, issues, and problems regarding computer and network security
    • Recommending security measures, projects, and initiatives to IET that would benefit campus academic and administrative departments.

     

  • Membership

    The subcommittee is chaired by Adam Getchell, College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Dean's Office.

    The subcommittee is comprised of TIF members as well as computing professionals from across campus with an interest or expertise in security issues.
